Chris Was No Angel
"Chris was no angel" is one of the quotes from the movie, in fact this is how everyone described Chris. That description came from his friends and Dusty's friends and family. I think in the movie they made reference to him being an occasional user. Dusty was heavy into using at the time, according to sources. It was also said that he had a very bad temper, and that sometimes things got physical between Chris and Dusty. Remember the part in the movie where Dusty stated that Chris hit her? I have not been able to substantiate that for certain, but according to Dusty's family this part was true. However, that's no excuse to murder a marine.

That rotten woman deserves everything she got!!!!!!.
I hope she dies a horrible death and then rotts in hell afterwards!!!!!
No excuse for what Dusty did.
"Yeah Dusty it's easy to make the victim look Bad, when he is not here to speak for himself. All I know is you My girl Dusty is Nothing but Poor white Trash"
Really I spit in your face If I where in front you.
I'm Married to a Marine, You never deserve a Fine Man as Chris Randall, and nor the Sweet Baby.
YES YOU Will rotten in hell!!!!!
I agree!
Dusty Brown and Three of her friends married marines to get their benefits. the thing is none of them " except for Dusty"had them killed. i feel damn sorry for her daughter she never got the chance to meet this woman that she heard so many bad things. Did Mary Brown really raise her? Dusty just didn't want him around so she could do what she did best, whore around ,drink,,do drugs, and yet she wanted her daughter. i hope that girl turned out to be decent human being. i hope she didn't get any of her mothers genes.
I have watched this movie countless times and it makes me mad and sad every time. I finally summoned up the courage to write to Mary Brown, to my surprise she replied back to me, the letter is dated August 22, 2005.
She mentioned in her letter that she wanted to write a book, but if she did I am not aware of it. I live only 20 minutes or so from where
they resided and I still think about them often.
Sincerely,
